My poker-spamming buddies have not ceased their attacks as of late and instead of my website filling with their comments, my inbox is filled with “comment awaiting moderation” emails. Nonetheless, this particular comment caught my eye as I was scrolling through the terribly long list of comments that needed deletion.

“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It is simply too painful to acknowledge – even to ourselves – that we’ve been so credulous.”

I guess it was the word “bamboozle” that caught my eye. Have I been captured by the bamboozle, as this spammer seems to think? Tell me, blog readers. I’d like to know.

Alright. Here’s your heads up.

If you post a comment with the words “blackjack, casino, holdem/hold’em, poker, gambling, or roulette” in it, then your comment is going straight to the moderation queue, and is likely going to be deleted.

If I get a chance, I’ll be going through and deleting the spam that I have received thus far. Although honestly, it kind of hurts, going from an average of about 30 comments per blog to an average of about… 2.
